FAQ
Below are some of the most frequent questions that I am asked, along with my responses.
What remedies are available to me?
Herbs, homeopathics, flower essences, vitamins, and minerals are most frequently
recommended.
What is the difference between the remedies?
Herbs are made by drying the plants and then placing them into capsules, making them into
teas, or creating tinctures, which are solutions made with the herbs, alcohol and glycerin.
Homeopathic remedies are plants and minerals that are soaked in alcohol and distilled water. As
they soak, the water is imprinted with their vibration. The solution is then vigorously shaken and
diluted until only the vibration of the original plant or natural source remains.
Flower essences are herbal infusions, made from the flowering part of the plant. They are
similar to homeopathic remedies in that they are soaked in water, with alcohol used as a
preservative. Flower essences are very good for emotional imbalances and shock.
How do I know which remedy will work best for me?
Your lifestyle and your health concerns will determine which remedy will work best; your
personal preference is also taken into consideration. Herbal tinctures are stronger than capsules
and teas. Homeopathic remedies are more specific to a particular condition. Flower essences
are used to help conditions that are a result of emotional or mental stress. As almost all health
conditions have an emotional or mental cause, flower essences are often used in tandem with
herbs and homeopathic remedies.
How will I know how much to take?
Once we have determined which remedy will suit you best, depending on your specific
condition, specific instructions for taking your remedy will be provided.
Herbal capsules are usually taken two to three times a day, two to three capsules at a time. For
teas, you will drink 2-3 cups per day. Tinctures are put by the dropperful into a glass of water, or
juice, twice a day. The usual dose is two droppersful but if needed, you can take three
droppersful, three times a day. When battling a cold or flu, tinctures can be used once an hour.
Homeopathic remedies, for the most part, should not be taken with food or liquid. The dose will
be between 5-10 drops to one dropperful, taken under the tongue. A recommendation for
frequency of dosage will be provided.
How long should I take the remedy?
It is different for everyone. For the most part, remedies should be taken until all symptoms have
subsided. It is then recommended that the remedy be continued for a week after the symptoms
are gone. Sometimes it will be recommended that the entire remedy is taken because it is
building up your body systems. Any and all questions you might have are important, and will be
answered by email in a timely fashion.
How long before I notice a difference when taking natural remedies?
Natural remedies take longer than a pharmaceutical medicine to change the situation. Natural
remedies don't just cover up the problem; they promote the healing of the condition on a deep
level, without harmful effects. It takes longer, but lasts longer, to see the difference in your
health. You should notice something changing within a week as a general rule.
What if I can't take remedies with alcohol in them?
We have remedies that are made alcohol free. If you prefer your remedy be free of alcohol,
request it, and we will provide one. It might not be the same one you requested, but we will
make sure that it is the right one for your situation.
